R1200S / HP2 / R nineT and Scrambler Carbon Alternator Cover

The alternator cover in carbon fibre for the BMW R 1100GS and R 1150GS models replaces the original component using the original mounting points. The focus is on weight saving (usually a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and greater rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave in accordance with the latest guidelines and then, as is our custom, coated with a clear plastic coating to protect it from environmental influences.

This plastic coating is far superior to the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protection, scratch resistance and durability. However, the coating not only scores points technically, it also clearly emphasises the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
